Our powder coating facility operates within a nearly 2,000 m² fully separated, climate-controlled and controlled production environment. The coating area is maintained under regulated positive air pressure, significantly reducing the ingress of external dust and other contaminants. This provides optimal conditions for producing clean, uniform and high-quality coated surfaces.
At the heart of our powder coating facility is a state-of-the-art coating system from the Swiss manufacturer Gema. The automated coating process is performed by a six-axis collaborative robot which, thanks to its exceptional freedom of movement, can precisely follow the shapes and contours of workpieces, even when coating components with complex geometries.
The robotic technology enables uniform and reproducible powder application, while programmed motion paths, controlled coating parameters and consistent production conditions ensure a high level of process reliability. The result is uniform coating thickness, excellent surface quality and reliably reproducible results throughout series production.
Modern electrostatic powder coating technology combines excellent surface quality with efficient material utilisation and fast production processes. Our automated system ensures a consistently high level of quality, from smaller production batches through to high-volume series production.
1. Surface Preparation
High-quality powder coating begins with thorough surface preparation. In the first step, the workpieces are prepared by abrasive blasting, which removes surface contaminants and creates an optimal surface structure for the subsequent treatment.
This is followed by phosphating, degreasing and pre-treatment in a three-stage immersion bath system. During this process, oil, grease and other contaminants are removed from the surface, creating optimal conditions for the adhesion of the powder coating.
A carefully prepared and clean surface ensures excellent adhesion, consistent coating quality and long-term durability.
2. Robotic Powder Coating
After drying and being placed on the hanging system, the workpieces enter the coating booth, where the powder coating is applied by a modern six-axis collaborative robot.
Thanks to its exceptional freedom of movement, this latest-generation robotic technology follows the shapes and contours of each workpiece with outstanding precision. Pre-programmed movement paths ensure fast, precise and exceptionally uniform powder application, even on components with more complex geometries.
The robot performs exactly defined and identical movements on every workpiece, ensuring a consistently reproducible coating process. The result is a uniform coating, consistently high surface quality and reliable, repeatable results from one component to the next – even in high-volume series production.
The key advantages of robotic powder coating are the combination of precision, speed and cost efficiency. Modern automation enables even large production batches to be coated within short lead times, with optimised powder consumption and a consistently high level of quality.
3. Curing and Cross-Linking
Following the application of the powder coating, the workpieces are transferred to our automatic curing oven with five rail tracks. The curing process is always carried out in accordance with the technical parameters specified by the respective powder coating manufacturer – particularly the required temperature and curing time.
Our modern propane gas-fired curing oven features high-performance thermal insulation and an efficient, controlled air circulation system. The uniform airflow ensures the most consistent possible temperature distribution throughout the entire oven, providing controlled and even heat treatment of every workpiece.
During the precisely controlled curing process, the powder coating melts, flows and cross-links, developing its final surface and mechanical properties. The uniform temperature distribution contributes to a consistent surface finish, excellent adhesion and a durable, reproducible coating quality on every individual workpiece.
4. 4. Quality Control and Documentation
Following the curing process, the workpieces are allowed to cool under controlled conditions. Once the coating has fully cured and cooled, the products are removed from the hanging system and subjected to a comprehensive quality inspection.
The quality of the coating is verified using standardised testing methods. Coating thickness is measured at several defined points on each workpiece. The results are recorded in a test report, supplemented by photographic documentation and presented graphically. This enables the uniformity of the coating thickness to be precisely documented and fully traceable.
To verify coating adhesion, we perform a cross-cut test in accordance with ISO 2409. A defined lattice pattern is cut into the coating and the result is then evaluated to determine the adhesion of the coating to the substrate.
According to our quality requirements, only the highest possible result, ISO 0 / GT 0, is accepted. At this classification, the edges of the cuts remain completely smooth and no coating detachment occurs within the lattice. This result demonstrates excellent adhesion and a consistently high and reliable coating quality.
Documented coating thickness measurements combined with standardised adhesion testing ensure that every product powder coated by us meets our defined quality requirements.
Thousands of Colours and Surface Finishes
Our powder coating service offers thousands of different colour shades as well as a wide range of surface textures and roughness levels. The entire RAL colour range is available, while different gloss levels and surface finishes allow the coating to be precisely tailored to the technical and aesthetic requirements of each product.
Products from More Than 10 Powder Coating Manufacturers
We work with more than 10 powder coating manufacturers, giving our customers a wide choice of manufacturers, colours and coating systems. If a customer prefers a specific powder coating manufacturer or a particular type of powder, we can accommodate this requirement accordingly.
Climate-Controlled Powder Storage
Our powder coatings are stored in a dedicated, climate-controlled storage facility. Maintaining a controlled and consistent storage temperature helps preserve the optimal properties and quality of the powder coatings until they are ready for application.
Our Own Transport Service – Within a Radius of up to 200 km
Upon request, we can also take care of the logistics for our customers. Using our own vehicles, we collect products for coating throughout Western Hungary and within a radius of up to 200 km from our facility, including locations in Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. Once powder coating is complete, we can deliver the finished components directly back to the customer.
This means our customers benefit not only from high-quality powder coating, but also from a convenient and reliable end-to-end logistics solution.
